Louisville edges Clemson 2-16-19

Leading by seven points with just over 10 seconds left in the game Louisville overcame three crucial turnovers to hold on for a 56 to 55 victory over the Clemson Tigers.

In this low scoring contest Clemson’s #2 ranked defense held the Cardinals to 35.2% from the field and 31.6% from three point range. The cards were equally adept on the defensive end limiting the Tigers to 38.6%. The Tigers also out rebounded the Cards 42 to 29.

The cards were led by guard Christen Cunningham’s 18 points, followed by forward Jordan Nwora who added 11 points. Elijah Thomas (11 points), Marquis Reed (13 points), and Shelton Mitchell (12 points) paced the Tigers.
