Bracken County’s Experience Lifts Them Past Saints

Bracken County’s Experience Lifts Them Past Saints

Bracken County paid a visit to the Shamrock Tuesday night and took home a hard fought 79-59 win against the St. Patrick Saints.

It was a slugfest for much of the game as both teams had their share of runs throughout the night. Bracken outscored St. Pat 21-10 in the second quarter to take a 35-18 lead into the locker room at the half. The 17 point deficit was just too much to overcome for the young Saints.

Both teams played head-to-head in the second half both in play and in spirit with Bracken picking up two technical fouls compared to one for St. Patrick’s.

The Saints fell to 3-9 on the year and will return to action Friday night when they take on Nicholas County in the All A Classic at Robertson County High School. The game is scheduled to get underway at 8 p.m.

Bracken (5-10) will tip it up Saturday in the All A when they take on Robertson County. Tip-off is set for 12:45 p.m.
