SEC Basketball Players of the Week (1/20/20)

SEC Player of the Week – Mississippi State forward Reggie Perry, a 6-foot-10, 250-pound sophomore from Thomasville, Ga, averaged 22.5 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and one steal in wins against Missouri and Georgia. The only SEC player to average a double-double on the season, Perry knocked down 69.2 percent of his shots from the floor and put forth his two best SEC scoring outputs of his career. He amassed 22 points, 12 rebounds and a career-high six assists versus Georgia after he fired in a SEC career-best 23 points and 10 rebounds against Missouri.

SEC Freshman of the Week – South Carolina guard Jermaine Couisnard, a 6-foot-4, 244-pound freshman from East Chicago, Ind., averaged 21.5 points, three assists, 2.5 rebounds and a steal in wins over No. 10 Kentucky and at Texas A&M. He earned the first start of his career vs. UK, posting a season high 26 points and hitting the game-winning 3-point buzzer beater to clinch the victory. Couisnard followed with a 17-point performance in the road win at Texas A&M.
