​Poor Shooting Costs Lady Royals

Maysville, KY – The temperature outside the Mason County Fieldhouse was hovering around 25 degrees during the Lady Royals matchup with Fleming County Friday night. Someone must have left a door open as Mason County’s shooting nearly matched the outside temp in a 60-53 loss to the Lady Panthers.

The Lady Royals managed just 20 of 69 shots for 28 percent from the field and played without three players who have been suspended from team. Haley White scored a career high 22 points and Rachel Payne added 18 as Mason County fell below .500 on the year as they sit at 12-13.

Fleming County was led in scoring by Sidney Argo’s game high 24 followed by Krishani Jackson with 18 as the Lady Panthers recorded their 12th win of the season compared to 15 losses.

Mason County will travel to Covington Monday in a matchup with Homes out of the ninth region.
