GAME NOTES

• Morehead State trails 115-55 to the Racers in the all-time series, dating way back prior to World War II in 1933-34. However, Morehead State has not tasted victory at Murray State since the 2002-03 season.

• Freshman forward Tyzhaun Claudehas rolled into a groove lately, having averaged 16.7 points in his last three games – all in double figures. His 23 points against Eastern Kentucky eclipsed his previous career high by three. He also has shot 67 percent in the last three contests.

• Senior guard Jordan Walker has scored 1,423 points now in his career, ranking 17th on Morehead State’s 1,000-point club list. He needs just four to move past Doug Bentz (1988-93) into 16th.

• Jordan Walker also has drained 193 career three-pointers. He is now tied with Mark Majick (1993-96) for third place on MSU’s career three-pointers made list. Walker also needs just 16 more successful free throws to move to 10th place on that career list.

• Senior guard Djimon Henson has been hard to guard in the past two months. He has scored in double figures in 12 of the past 16 games and now ranks second on the team with 10.6 points per game.

• Tyzhaun Claude corralled six more rebounds against Eastern Kentucky and still ranks as the OVC’s best freshmen glass cleaner at 6.3 rebounds per game.

• Junior forward James Baker needs just two more blocked shots to reach 100 for his career.

• Junior guard Juice Thomas‘ 57 steals is the 10th highest single-season total in program history. The season record is 73 by Ricky Minard. Thomas leads the OVC in takeaways.

• The Eagles have eight games this season in which they committed 10 or fewer turnovers, in turn helping MSU rank No. 1 in the OVC in fewest turnovers per game (12.2).

• Morehead State has three weekly OVC awards this year. Jordan Walker (Player of the Week – Feb. 3), Ta’Lon Cooper(Freshman of the Week – Dec. 30) and Tyzhaun Claude (Freshman of the Week – Jan. 6) have been honored.
