St. Patrick Lady Saints Hold Off Rose Hill 61-57

Ashland, KY – The St. Patrick Lady Saints overcame a sluggish first half start to defeat Rose Hills Christian 61-57 Saturday on the Royals home court. It was the third meeting between the two teams with the Lady Saints taking two by a combined total of seven points. 

Rose Hill was without their second leading scorer Delaynee Sparks but her sister Bellamee helped her team keep pace with 28 points on the afternoon. It wasn’t enough as St. Patrick held on to win their 14th victory on the year.

The Saints were led in scoring by Libby Gallenstein and Allison Hughes. Both tallied 16 points each. Senior Justina Klee recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. 

St. Patrick returns to the court Monday when they host Lewis County at the Shamrock. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
