MOREHEAD, Ky. — Fredrionna “Freddy” Adams, a point guard who led the Conquistadors of Dodge City (Kan.) Community College for two seasons, has chosen Morehead State to continue her collegiate career.

Adams, a native of Evansville, Ind., is transferring to MSU and will have two seasons of eligibility remaining starting in 2020-21.

“We are excited to have Freddy on our roster. She is a pass first point guard who is an excellent three-point shooter,” said head coach Greg Todd. “She also gives us a player who enjoys playing full court defense.”

Adams was named All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference in 2019-20 after averaging 8.8 points, 4.4 assists, 1.5 steals and hitting 34 percent from three-point distance. Adams tabulated 12 games with five or more assists, including games with 12 and 11 assists late in the season.

As a freshman in 2019-19, she averaged 5.3 points and 2.3 assists while pacing the team with 35 steals.

Adams attended Evansville North High School where she maintained an average of 4.5 assists throughout her prep career.
