MOREHEAD, Ky. — Tucson Redding, a 6-3 guard originally from Aurora, Colo., has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the men’s basketball program at Morehead State.

Redding will be a sophomore at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College this year. He played his collegiate freshman season at Howard College in Texas.

Tucson is a tough-minded combo guard who fits in well with how we want to play with interchanged play-makers at the guard positions,” said head coach Preston Spradlin. “He is a crafty scorer who has a high basketball IQ and ability to elevate those around him with his motor and passing. Playing for a great junior college program that will compete nationally will prepare Tucson for the jump to Division I.”

His current coach at NEO had high praise as well.

“A true combo guard with size, and the ability to score on three levels,” said Jeremy Jackson. “He is very coachable, a total gym rat, and above all else he is a phenomenal human being.”

At Howard, Redding boasted averages of 13 points, four assists, and three rebounds in 30 games.

He is a graduate of Overland High School and head coach Danny Fisher. He then spent a season at the Elite Prep Sports Academy in Seattle, Wash., run by Tayon Ary-Turner.
