Kentucky Drops Game To Alabama

By Peggy Gilligan

Watching the Kentucky team on Tuesday night was hard to explain compared to the team that played against Florida on Saturday. Alabama’s game plan was to shoot three point shots, they did and made them. Kentucky on the other hand did not.

Nothing was working for the Cats on Tuesday the turnovers, bad defense, and missed shots all returned to handicap the Cats in this game. At the end of the first half the score was Alabama 42 and Kentucky 30.

The second half was not any better and the Wildcats lost by a score of  85-65. The leading scorer was Isaiah Jackson with fourteen points followed by Devin Askew with twelve and Keion Brooks who had ten.  The shooting percentage for Kentucky was 34% compared to 45% for Alabama.

The only bright spot for Kentucky was that they won the rebounding battle 44-36.

Next up for the Cats will be at Auburn on Saturday at 2PM. Auburn plays a similar game as Alabama so hopefully the team will have a better result.
