Kentucky Basketball Cruises In The Bahamas

An exhibition game is an exhibition game. Until it is Big Blue strutting it’s stuff in the preseason. As expected the outcome of the game was never in doubt, as Kentucky lead the Dominican Republic from start to finish in the 108-56 win.

It did give the coaching staff and fans a look at the incoming players and the change of the returning players. Daimion Collins game showed the work that he has but in during the offseason. He by far stood out over everyone on the court, as he went 6 of 9 from the floor, pulled down 5 rebounds, dished out 5 assist and blocked two shots. Oh yeah and had two dunks that were worthy of the top 10 on a certain sports network.

Freshmen Carson Wallace, Chris Livingston and Adou Thiero played like anything but freshmen. All three showed poise and confidence seldom seen from in coming players. The three combined for 29 points on the evening and excelled in many other other areas.

Acting head coach Orlando Antigua was pleased with the showing of the young guys, as well as the veterans.

The Cats will face Tec De Monterrey from Mexico Thursday night at 7 pm. and can be seen on the SEC Network.
